Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my child needs speech therapy?
1
Trust your gut. If you have a feeling something is off — or your pediatrician has mentioned a concern — a free consultation is a great first step.
You don't need a referral to reach out.
What ages do you work with?
2
I work with children from infancy through adolescence. Whether your child is a toddler who isn't talking yet or a teenager struggling with reading and language, I'd love to connect.
Do you accept insurance?
3
Goldfinch is currently a private pay practice. I provide superbills upon request, which you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I am actively working toward accepting insurance — mention it when you reach out if that's important to your family.
What does a typical session look like?
4
Sessions are child-led and relationship-first. I follow your child's interests and pace — there's no pressure and no forcing. Play, connection, and real communication are always the goal.
